Welcome to The Royal Hotel, CromartyThe Home Of Highland Hospitality  The Royal Hotel has a Scottish country house atmosphere with open fires and good local fresh Scottish cooking and is personally run by the owners, Janice and Neil Campbell.The hotel is set overlooking the harbour and enjoys stunning views of the Cromarty Firth and the Sutherland mountains. Relax and watch the fishing boats unload at the pier or the yachts at anchor in the bay. We are renowned for our good food, with each meal individually prepared. We specialise in providing good home cooking with a focus on locally sourced produce with a particular emphasis on seafood when available. All types of vegetarian diets are catered for. Guests who have visited The Royal know the friendly welcome that awaits them, and of the charms of Cromarty and its surroundings. Eating well, sleeping well and moving about in beautiful surroundings is a therapy for which many return year after year.  We are at the centre of the Scottish Highlands, only two and a half hours from the farthest point. Cromarty is the perfect touring centre being on the east coast but just over an hour from the west coast.The Royal Hotel was originally built by the Middletons of Davidston as a house, with a pork-curing business alongside. The building was later modified and extended to become the Admiral Napier Hotel in 1851 and later the Royal Hotel. The hotel has 10 well appointed bedrooms which have all been refurbished within the past few years. All the rooms have private facilities and are equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, radio, hair drier and colour television (and an electric blanket!). For planning the day’s activities or just simply to relax and read a book, the hotel has a large guest lounge and a conservatory. Enjoy a drink in our comfortable lounge bar or meet the locals in our public bar for a challenge at pool, darts, dominoes or draughts. Food is served in our dining room, lounge bar and conservatory (and outside weather permitting). In our Dining Room we can cater for small private parties such as weddings, birthday / family parties, conferences, meetings etc
