I've seen this photo/postcard on several occasions, and every time I look at it I'm more of the opinion that this NOT a Cromarty fisherman, the 'dress' seems more akin to English south coast, or even Brittany? I can't recall a beret ever being worn at sea in this area, in general it was usually the soft black 'cheesecutter'.

What do other regulars to this site think?

I wasn't too sure about it myself Clem, figuring that postcard printers might happily produce a batch of the same cards, each with a different geographical title, but the message on the back would seem to give it more credibility.
