The man second left is my father, Fred Bassindale who worked at Rosefarm 1946-1949. This photo is taken at Rosefarm. I think the sheep pens were at the top of the Rosefarm road near to the shepherd's house which has been demolished and new bungalows built. The man fourth from left is a German prisoner of war called Frank. Rosefarm had three or four working there during the war and I think some of them stayed on afterwards. I remember Frank going back to Germany on holiday and bring me back a fountain pen. The others in the photo may also be Germans. One married a Cromarty lady, Isobel? Thompson.
