The caption reads: Tom and Paddy, with Alastair and George. The photograph was taken in the back garden of Edismount. The wall behind them divided the Dunn garden from the McWhirter garden. We used to run along the top of the wall, jump into the McWhirter garden and climb up their gate to return to our own side. The McWhirters were an old couple who somehow managed to remain on good terms with our parents. They must have been very patient, tolerant people. The photograph was taken in the back garden of Edismount. The brick wall behind them had a rounded concrete top.

Alex Dunn, Edradour
Andrew:
This is the Edradour House in Risk Street, Dalmuir. Before Alex bought it the Boyd family had owned it. Edradour Distillery is the smallest distillery in Scotland. I don't know why one of the previous owners gave the house that name.
Alex and Meg Dunn at Dalmuir
Back garden of 26 Stevenson Street, Dalmuir. The building behind them had been a coach-house, but was used as a garage. The swing seat was brought to Cromarty sometime in the late 60s, and was used for a few summers by Fiona, Helen, Colin and Jane Dunn, before finally falling apart. You just can't get that sort of quality and durabillity now.
