Fears for future of mental health care

A BLACK Isle woman who suffers from bipolar disorder has mounted a campaign against changes to community psychiatric support which she believes will be devastating for many with similar conditions.

Catriona Ross, of Milton of Redcastle, who has been treated for her illness for years and has been hospitalised on numerous occasions, believes extending the areas covered by the manager of the Mid Ross Community Health Team and abrupt staffing changeovers will spell disaster for vulnerable patients.
