Culbokie runner makes Wilderness history

A CULBOKIE student made history at the Great Wilderness Challenge last weekend by becoming the first woman to win one of its races.

Mairi Gilmour crossed the line first in the 13-mile race, an achievement described as “remarkable” by the organisers of the annual event held in Poolewe.

Not far behind her was her dad Colin, who finished third in the same race.
